The Ludwig Ultimate Marching Snare Drum allows the player to execute clean, crisp articulations while keeping the drum lightweight. The free floating shell design contributes to the excellent projection and resonance.
- Shell – 14x12 Free floating 8 ply Maple shell offers a dynamic tuning range and sensitivity
- 45 Degree Bearing Edge – This inner cut edge has a 1/8" radius round over that insures a smooth flat surface for perfect drum head seating.
- Reinforcement ring - A 5-ply, 1.5" wide maple reinforcement ring ads superior support and shape integrity to the shell.
- Hardware – Solid polished aluminum hardware give this drum the signature Ludwig look. Steel mounting brackets feature key rod fasteners, which greatly reduce the chance of stripping out the adjustment.
- Snare Gut - 16 individually adjustable and removable snare guts allow for a customized sound. A Stabilizing steel snare guards protect the snare unit while supplying safe and balanced support.
